FRAGMENTS OF TIME
This piece is the result of a rollercoaster of emotions ..
The final piece includes tiny rabbit teeth, shattered glass, a large mosasaurus tooth, a little rabbit bone, copper, stainless steel, recycled leather, and hemp cord.
To create 'Fragments of Time' I've been using tiny wires to 'sew' the fragments onto the leather base, and even to connect some of the leather layers. Some stainless steel wire 'embroidery' patterns decorate the front side, and an invisible frame of the same material keeps the entire shape solid from inbetween the front and backside.
The result feels like some kind of painting from another realm, just that you can actually touch all those little details made of materials and textures.

All natural materials are ethically sourced, no animals were being harmed or disturbed in their existence. I feel honored when I find some remains and can give them a new life as part of my creations.
I only use recycled leather, I don't support leather production for art.
